299 <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br />The roll call vote on the oriqinal motion was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 6d <br />Proposition 85 - Library Bond Measure <br />Mr. Walker presented a letter from Ginnie Cooper, Alameda <br />County Librarian, dated October 25, 1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 88-520, in support of <br />the State Bond Measure for library construction, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 6e <br />Growth Manaqement Oversiqht Committee <br /> Councilmember Butler stated he requested this matter be <br />placed on the agenda because he felt it would complement the <br />City. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that the feasibility of a Growth Management <br />Oversight Committee be referred to the Planning Commission for <br />its review and recommendation to Council. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Staff was instructed to review this matter and make <br />recommendations to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Report presented at this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. John Gualandri, Gatetree Circle, stated there is a <br />problem with the sound system and score board at Amador High <br />School. He advised the new sound system is louder than the old <br />system, and is very annoying to the residents in the area. He <br />added that the score board is up higher than the old one and he is <br />even able to read the advertising. He stated he sent a letter to <br />the School District Office over a month ago but has not received a <br />reply. He asked if Council could do anything to help alleviate <br /> <br /> - 8 - 11-1-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
