He added that he contacted Mr. Bonnano at the <br />High School, who has been cooperative in trying to get something <br />done, but Dr. James has so far ignored his letter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Lowenthoi, 4586 Gatetree Circle, stated the <br />football season is almost over but the residents would still like <br />a response from the School District Office. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer directed the City Attorney, City Manager, and <br />Planning Department to meet with Mr. Gualandri and Mr. Lowenthoi <br />to determine if any City ordinance regulates this matter. He also <br />suggested that the Gatetree residents attend a School Board <br />meeting to make their concerns known to this body, who has <br />authority to do something about the problem. <br /> <br /> Mr. Oscar Hernandez, 271 Kottinger Drive, stated there is a <br />landscaping business being operated out of a residence near him <br />which is creating a safety hazard for the residents in this area. <br />He advised there are 7-8 large trucks going!in and out, there is <br />fuel stored at the site, and a shed has been erected to house <br />equipment. He stated it was his understanding that the people did <br />not have a City license to do business until very recently, but <br />that they have been operating in the City for a long time. He <br />felt it was illegal to operate a business out of a residence at <br />this location. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised that the City is aware of this problem and <br />that the Code Enforcement Officer has taken action to have this <br />business relocate within 60 days. He stated that a business <br />license was obtained last week by this firm. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush advised that the City has authority to file civil <br />action against this firm for using a residence as a business, if <br />the firm does not comply with the Code. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer instructed staff to keep Mr. Hernandez informed <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> There were no public hearings presented at this meeting <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />item 10a <br />AP-88-21, Appeal of a decision of the Board of Adjustment denyinq <br />Case V-88-19, the application of Raymond Bohn for a variance from <br />the Municipal Code to allow retention of an accessory structure <br />that encroaches into the required sideyard setback of the property <br />located at 6824 Corte de Flores.
