Adoption of Resolution No. 89-169, approving the following <br /> amendments to the 1988-89 fiscal year budget: (1) delete the <br /> transfer of $515,399 for staff engineering costs from the <br /> Capital Improvement Program to the General Fund Operating <br /> budget; (2) appropriate $90,000 from the General Fund for <br /> commissions to the City's contracted Sales Tax Auditor for <br /> recovery of Sales Tax funds misallocated by the State; and <br /> (3) appropriate an additional $215,000 from the Water Fund <br /> for the estimated increased cost of purchased water. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL AND INFORMATIONAL REPORTS <br />item 5a <br />Status of NPID No. 3 Freeway Projects <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his report (IR 89:26) dated April 4, <br />1989, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Tarver asked if the Hacienda Interchange could <br />be phased in before the Santa Rita Road Interchange. <br /> <br /> Mr. Humolka, Manager of the NPID, stated there are several <br />issues that need to be settled before the Hacienda Interchange can <br />be constructed: there needs to be coordination with the City of <br />Dublin: there will be a substantial amount of utility relocation <br />required: there are still unresolved problems with the relocation <br />of the County jail: and there are soil settlement problems. He <br />advised that these problems will not be settled before early 1990, <br />and the construction period will be approximately one year. He <br />stated that plans for the Santa Rita Road interchange are moving <br />along more rapidly, and that construction will be ready there <br />first. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Tarver stated that the Hacienda Interchange <br />seems the more logical sequence for construction first. <br /> <br /> No action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br />item 5b <br />Actions Taken by the Housing Authority Commission at their <br />meeting of March 16, 1989 <br /> Mr. Bocian presented his report (IR 89:27) dated April 4, <br />1989, regarding this matter.
