(Intro. 3-21-89, 4-Ayes, i-No) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1409 was introduced on <br />March 21, 1989, by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and that it is now in <br />order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Tarver, that Ordinance No. 1409 be adopted, <br />approving PUD-88-11, the application of John Altieri, R. Marshall, <br />and Ray Thompson for Planned Unit Development rezoning and <br />development plan approval for a 21-parcel single-family <br />residential project to be located on an approximately 12.3 acre <br />site located generally in the area on the north side of the <br />western terminus of Rose Avenue. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Tarver <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes and Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 10c <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1410, Amending Chapter 18.21 <br /> (Architectural Review Board) of the Municipal Code <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item removed from the agenda, at <br />the request of staff. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />item 12a <br />Review of Traffic Assumptions <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his report (SR 89:133) dated March 21, <br />1989, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Chris Owens, representing the NPID Committee, stated that <br />with the addition of a Traffic Engineer to the City staff, traffic <br />information has greatly improved. He stated the Committee is <br />confident of the validity of the TSM ordinance. The Committee's <br />accepts the report; they prefer Option 1 but can support Option <br />2. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes asked if the surveys are accurate or is <br />there cause for alarm that the actual traffic count might be <br />higher. Mr. Van Gelder stated the surveys go to the individual <br />employee so it should an accurate report. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes asked if traffic counts included trips <br />made by sales and service people coming into the North Pleasanton <br />area as well as in and out of the large apartment units. Mr. Van <br />Gelder advised that this specific survey dealt with peak hours <br />only in the office complexes.
