Mr. Walker advised he <br />would come back with the report regarding this matter at a later <br />date. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 10:05 p.m. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />item 10a <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1408, Approval of PUD-89-5, Application <br />of DeSilva Group for development plan approval to construct a 251- <br />unit sinqle-family residential project and related improvements to <br />be located on an approximately 136 acre site located at the <br />northeast corner of the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Foothill <br />Road <br /> (Intro. 3-21-89, 3-Ayes, 2-Noes) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1408 was introduced on <br />March 21, 1989, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Noes, and that it is now in <br />order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he felt this project is over- <br />developed, has excessive grading, is premature, and is not in the <br />best interest of the community. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1408 be adopted, approving <br />PUD-89-5, the application of the DeSilva Group for development <br />plan approval to construct a 251-unit single-family residential <br />project and related improvements to be located on an approximately <br />136 acre site located at the northeast corner of the intersection <br />of Bernal Avenue and Foothill Road. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers Brandes and Tarver <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes asked what is the official time period <br />that a referendum can be submitted relative to this project. Mr. <br />Roush advised him it is thirty days from the date of adoption of <br />the ordinance. <br /> <br />item 10b <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1409, Approval of PUD-88-11, Application <br />of John Altieri, R. Marshall, and Ray Thompson for Planned Unit <br />Development rezoninq and development plan approval for a 21-parcel <br />single-family residential pro~ect to be located on an <br />approximately 12.3 acre site located qenerally in the area on the <br />north side of the western terminus of Rose Avenue <br /> <br /> - 17 - <br /> <br /> <br />
