The motion died for lack of a second.

Councilmember Mohr asked that if an exception is made for
this project will Council be opening itself up to other requests
for extensions.

Mr. Roush advised that he is not sure there is anyone else
that might be applying for growth management extension. He stated
that in this particular instance the developer did have Planning
Commission approval before the deadline, and because the matter
was continued for reconsideration there is rationale to extend the
deadline.

Councilmember Brandes stated that if the developer had gone
along with City Council at the first hearing he would have been in
under the deadline.

Mayor Mercer stated the neighbors as well as the developer
asked for reconsideration of this application. Since it is an
extension of only three days and because of the significant
benefit of the school fees to Lydiksen School, he felt it is
appropriate to grant the extension. He added that there is no
guarantee that Mr. Bridgman will get any growth management
allocation for 1990.

It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by
Councilmember Tarver, that Ordinance No. 1413 be introduced, to be
read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, extending
the deadline for making application for growth management program
allocation to June 1, 1989.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer
NOES: Councilmember Brandes
ABSENT: None

item 9c
AP-89-2, Appeal of a decision of the Planning Commission Denying
approval of Case PUD-88-14, Application of Presley of Northern
California for development plan approval to construct a 194-parcel
single-family residential pro~ect to be located on an
approximately 271 acre site locataed on the west side of Foothill
Road in the area generally north and west of its intersection with
Stoneridge Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD fPlanned Unit
Development)-Low Density Residential
Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of
April 18, 1989, 7:30 p.m., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, at
the request of the appellant. The Mayor indicated that this was
the last continuance of this matter he would be willing to grant.

item 9d
Consideration of Proposed 1989-1993 Capital Improvement Program
Mayor Mercer stated that a work session was held on April 3,
1989, regarding this matter.

- 15 -
4/04/89 SS
