access: Perry Lane as a stub for possible future access to
Foothill when Forest Hill goes through; design the Bridgman Hunton
so that it is acceptable on its own; and if the City feels the
hammer head is acceptable on a long term basis the neighbors would
like a commitment from Council that when Mr. Schaefer's property
is developed and Forest Hill is connected it will be only for E.
R. vehicle and pedestrial/bike traffic. They neighbors do not
feel that access to Foothill Road is necessary.

The following persons spoke in opposition to the
development:

Mr. Tim LeRew, 4968 Hillcrest, representing himself and three
other neighbors on Hillcrest, stated they are not satisfied with
the setback on lot 29 and feel that it should be 40 feet instead
of 24 feet. He presented pictures showing the line of sight on
the height of the houses as proposed and how it will adversely
affect his view and skyline. He also felt that lot 23 should have
a 40 foot setback, even if it means losing one lot. He stated
that on the whole the revised plan is a better development but the
problem affecting the four homes on Hillcrest Way needs to be
addressed before approving the application.

Mr. Trevor Lagette, 4946 Hillcrest, presented pictures
showing his unique situation in that his lot is significantly
lower and will be severely impacted by lot 29 of the proposed
development. He stated he concurs with the statements made by Mr.
LeRew. He stated he would like a 40 foot setback with a lower
roof line on lot 29.

Mr. Fred Hempy, 5000 Foothill Road, stated he is concerned
about access to Foothill Road and would recommend that the lots be
adjusted to assure that this will never happen.

Mr. Russ Schaefer, 5059 Foothill Road, stated he is concerned
about access to Foothill Road along his property line, and asked
that Council do away with any future potential of access to
Foothill Road.

Mr. Jim Pinto, 5004 Hillcrest, stated there needs to be lower
density on the homes. He felt that developers should get the
message and only build lower density projects.

Mr. Bridgman stated he felt the plan has been adequately
revised to meet the concerns of the surrounding property owners
and still be a good project. He stated the situation on Palmdale
Court required the elevation to be specifically addressed and he
has reduced the lots to a minimum level, modified the roof pitch
to be 18 feet high at the peak, and increased the side yard
setback to 24 feet. He stated that two lots have already been
removed. He stated that it is impossible to satisfy everyone
and he feels he has gone far beyond requirements to do everything
that he has done to make the project acceptable to the neighbors.

- 13 - 4/04/8 SS
