(Mayor Mercer and Councilmember Mohr left the dias.) <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Butler stated that Ordinance No. 1398 was <br />introduced on February 21, 1989, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Abstained, <br />and it is now in order to adopt the ordinance in final form. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Butler stated he would support this ordinance but <br />he is not in favor of it going to a vote of the people. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Tarver, that Ordinance No. 1398, adoption of the <br />Redevelopment Plan for the Downtown Redevelopment Project, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Tarver, and Vice Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmemher Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />item 12h <br />Call for special Election Re: Redevelopment Plan <br /> Mr. Roush presented his report (SR 89:100) dated March 7, <br />1989, regarding this matter. He stated this is a procedural <br />matter in order to place this matter on the June 6th ballot. <br /> <br /> It was moved hy Councilmember Brandes, and seconded hy <br />Councilmember Tarvet, that Resolution No. 89-118, submitting to <br />the voters of Pleasanton approval of the Redevelopment Plan for <br />Downtown Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Tarver, and Vice Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmember Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Butler appointed Councilmember Brandes and Tarver <br />as a sub-committee to determine who would prepare arguments in <br />favor of the measure. <br /> <br />item 13a <br />Resolution Recommending the Pleasanton Community Development <br />Agency Enter into Agreements with Certain Taxing Agencies <br /> Mr. Roush presented his report (SR 89:111) dated March 7, <br />1989, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Tarver, that Resolution No. 89-119, recommending <br />that the Pleasanton Community Development Agency enter into <br />agreements to alleviate financial burden or detriment caused to <br />the County of Alameda, the East Bay Regional Park District, and <br />the Alameda County Superintendent of Schools by the Downtown <br />Redevelopment Project, be adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
