No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that on the basis of a review of an initial <br />environmental study done for this project, that no significant <br />environmental impact would occur as outlined in the City's <br />guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with PUD-88-15, the application of Ted and Corrine <br />Mavridis for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development <br />plan approval to construct a ten parcel, single-family residential <br />project to be located on an approximately three acre site locataed <br />at 6168 Sunol Boulevard, that Resolution No. 89-115, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated the project is well planned, <br />however, he is opposed to it because he believes to rezone any <br />project at this time is premature. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Tarver stated the developer and staff have <br />worked hard to come up with an acceptable road alignment, however, <br />he is concerned about development within the next year or so and <br />other activities that need to be considered. He felt there should <br />be a time frame for actual construction; if it goes over 18 months <br />then it will be too long. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1405, to be read by title <br />only and waiving further reading thereof, be introduced, approving <br />PUD-88-15, the application of Ted and Corrine Mavridis for Planned <br />Unit Development rezoning and development plan approval to <br />construct a ten-parcel, single family residential project to be <br />located on an approximately three acre site located at 6168 Sunol <br />Boulevard, subject to conditions set forth in Staff Report 89:92. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers Brandes and Tarver <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 9c <br />PUD-88-13, Application of Bridqman Hunton, Inc., for development <br />plan approval to construct a 38-parcel single-family residential <br />proiect to be located at 5137 Foothill Road.
