497 <br /> <br /> Ms. Joan Buchenauer, 894 Bonita, expressed concern regarding <br />development of the land and its adverse effect on wild life, <br />especially the grey foxes, which are now an endangered species. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed on this item. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 89-92, be adopted, that on <br />the basis of a review of an initial environmental study done for <br />this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur <br />as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative <br />declaration is appropriate in connection with RZ-89-2, the <br />application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone an approximately <br />100 acre site located on both sides of Bernal Avenue generally <br />between Independence Drive and Angela Street to the "A" <br />(Agricultural) District. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, that Ordinance No. 1402, to be read by title <br />only and waiving further reading there, approving RZ-89-2, the <br />application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone an approximately <br />100 acre site located on both sides of Bernal Avenue generally <br />between Independence Drive and Angela Street to the "A" <br />(Agricultural) District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was a follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />item 12a <br />Approval of Scope of Work for West Pleasanton Annexation <br />Feasibility Study <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 89:67) dated February 21, <br />1989, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> - 22 - 2-21-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
