223 <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued regarding the make-up and duties of this <br /> Board. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 89-62, be adopted, which <br />Resolution (a) adopts in concept an Architectural/Site Review <br />Board, (b) directs staff to develop the particulars of this Board <br />and to return the matter to Council for final approval, and (c) <br />directs that the Board be made up of three design professionals, <br />with one alternate, said Board to be advisory to the Planning <br />Commission/City Council and said B~ard to review all building <br />design plans, but not land uses. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> item 13a <br />Quarterly Claims/Litiqation Report; October-December, 1988 <br /> Mr. Roush presented his report (IR 89:12) dated February 7, <br />1989, regarding this matter. Council did not take any action on <br />this item. <br /> <br />item 13c <br />Authorization to Settle Pendinq Workers Compensation Claims <br /> Mr. Roush presented his report (SR 89:50) dated February 7, <br />1989, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 89-63, authorizing <br />settlement authority in workers compensation claims involving <br />Steve Aracne and Joe DeTata, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Councilmember Mohr presented a letter from Councilmember <br />Barbara Guise, City of Brentwood, as a member of the Delta <br />Expressway study committee, expressing concern about the <br />realignment of Vasco Road. She stated is now appears that the <br />Contra Costa Water District, on their own, is looking at other <br />alternatives.
