Mayor Mercer added that Councilmembers have received all <br /> the information and reports that the representatives have <br /> received, and when any decisions are going to be made by LAVWMA <br /> and TWA, the representatives will bring these matters to the full <br /> Council for their input and recommendation before making any <br /> decision at the LAVWMA and TWA level. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated he has received the resignation of <br /> Deborah Snyder from the Pleasanton Housing Authority Commission. <br /> He directed staff to advertise for this vacancy, with a deadline <br /> of February 17, 1989, for filing applications. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Erlene DeMarcus, the Valley's new <br /> BART representative, has scheduled a meeting with representatives <br /> of Santa Rita Jail regarding bus transportation for released <br /> prisoners being picked up at the jail facility. Mayor Mercer <br /> requested that Council reconsider the park-and-ride lot at Owens <br /> Court. Council concurred. Mayor Mercer directed staff to place <br /> this matter on the agenda of February 7, 1989. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Butler stated the recent Superior Court ruling <br /> that the Environmental Impact Report is not adequate for the sewer <br /> project of the Tri-Valley Wastewater Authority will be discussed <br /> at the TWA meeting on January 18th. Mayor Mercer added that TWA <br /> will have discussions with its attorneys regarding this issue, and <br /> that any matters requiring decision will be brought back to <br /> Council for input and recommendation. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Jonathan Scutter, 836 Division Street, stated there is a <br /> traffic problem on Division Street from Fair Street to Pleasanton <br /> Avenue caused by excessive speed and noise due to increased <br /> traffic. He felt the speed limit should be lowered and other <br /> measures taken to be consistent with the lifestyle of this street. <br /> Mayor Mercer directed staff to investigate this matter. <br /> <br /> - 7 - 1-17-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
