189 <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 9:45 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 9:50 p.m. <br /> <br />item 9b <br />Joint Public Hearinq with the Community Development Agency on the <br />Redevelopment Plan and Final Environmental Impact Report for the <br />Redevelopment Plan <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this public hearing continued Open to <br />the meeting of February 21, 1989, 7:30 p.m., in the Pleasanton <br />Council Chambers. <br /> <br />item 9c <br />PUD-80-16-3D, Application of Pactel Properties for development <br />plan approval to construct a multi-building, approximately 103,160 <br />sg. ft. retail commercial complex to be located on an <br />approximately 9.75 acre site generally in the area bounded by <br />Hopyard Road, StoneridQe Drive, Franklin Drive, and Johnson Drive. <br />Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br />Industrial/Commercial and Offices District <br />{Contd. Open from 12-6-88 and 1-3-89) <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this public hearing continued Open to <br />the meeting of February 7, 1989, 7:30 p.m., in the Pleasanton <br />Council Chambers. <br /> <br />item 9d <br />AP-88-29, Appeal of a decision of the Design Review Board which <br />denied approval of the application of Michael and Joyce Brown (Z- <br />88-436) for design review approval to allow the construction of an <br />approximately 598 sq. ft. garage at their residence located at <br />1755 Equestrian Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development)-Low Density Residential District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 89:33) dated January 17, <br />1989, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Michael Brown, 1755 Equestrian Drive, presented slides <br />showing his house, and the proposed structure and its proximity to <br />the street and adjoining neighbors. He stated the structure will <br />be a detached garage to house a boat and tools. He advised that <br />the concrete slab has already been poured and approved by the <br />City. He stated that landscaping will block the view of others <br />seeing the garage. He added that there is a similar structure <br />four houses away. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Joyce Brown, 1755 Equestrian Drive, presented a <br />rendering of the house and proposed structure with trees to <br />emphasize the screening protection they plan for the site. She <br />showed the pitch of the roof, which the architect said should be <br />in line with that of the existing house. She stated she went <br />around in her neighborhood, and 17 neighbors are not opposed to <br />the proposed building, which will be used to house their boat and <br />also used for storage space.
