129 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />item 10a <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1410, Revising Chapter 18.20 of the <br />of the Municipal Code <br />(Intro. 3-21-89, 4-Ayes, 1-No) <br />(Re-intro. 5-2-89, 3-Ayes, 2-Absent) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1410 was introduced on <br />March 21, 1989, by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and was reintroduced on <br />May 2, 1989, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent, and that it is now in <br />order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1410, repealing Chapter <br />18.20 (Design Review) of the Municipal Code and adding a revised <br />Chapter 18.20 (Design Review Board) to the Municipal Code, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Councilmembers expressed a desire to <br />be included in the interview process of candidates for the Design <br />Review Board. After discussion, Council determined to interview <br />applicants for the Design Review Board on Monday, May 22, 1989, <br />beginning at 4:30 p.m., in the City Manager's Conference Room. <br /> <br />item 10b <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1415, Accepting the Penal Code <br />Requirements Relating to the Selection and Training Standards of <br />Public Safety Dispatchers <br /> (Intro. 5-2-89, 3-Ayes, 2-Absent) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1415 was introduced on <br />May 2, 1989, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent), and that it is now in <br />order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, that Ordinance No. 1415, accepting the <br />Penal Code requirements relating to the selection and training <br />standards of public safety dispatchers, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> - 15 - 5-16-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
