163 <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Todd Fujinaga, attorney for Vintage Hills Investment, <br />indicated he agreed with all the staff recommendations. <br /> <br /> Mr. Darrow Crowe, 3810 Pinot Court, complained about weeds <br />next to the parking lot of the center and traffic on Bernal <br />Avenue. He also wanted a soundwall and thought the developer <br />should help with the cost of the soundwall. <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Gorman, 3660 Canelli Court, was concerned about <br />landscaping, trash at the back of the center and vacant vehicles <br />left at the back. He also complained about debris and discards on <br />the vacant lot next to the shopping center. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fujinaga indicated they would maintain and monitor the <br />back of the shopping center, but that they were not the owners of <br />the two acre lot next door. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Tarver, seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, that Ordinance No. 1423 be introduced, to <br />be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving PUD-78-3-3M, the application of Vintage Hills Investment <br />for a major modification to an approved development plan to an <br />existing shopping center (Vintage Hills Shopping Center) to allow <br />for alterations to exterior storefronts, clock tower, signage, <br />landscaping, and other related improvements to be located at 3550 <br />Bernal Avenue, subject to the conditions et forth on Exhibit "A" <br />of the staff report. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6e <br />Application of Ron and Sue Cote for proposed reqradinq approval on <br />a vacant sinqle-family lot, located at 870 Montevino {Lot 33, <br />Tract 5835) <br /> Mr. Swift presented his staff report (89:291) regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Due to the abstention of Mayor Mercer and Councilmember <br />Butler, Councilmember Brandes assumed the chair and declared the <br />public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ron Cote, 870 Montevino, indicated he agreed with all the <br />staff recommendations. <br /> <br /> -7- <br /> <br /> 6-20-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
