131 <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer said it was his understanding that there would not <br />be a trauma center at Valley Memorial Hospital. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 89-323 be adopted, indicating that the City <br />supports the proposal and directs the staff to write a letter to <br />the Board of Supervisors to that effect. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 7f <br />PUD-81-30-33D-1M, EG&G Energy Measurements, Application for a <br />minor modification to the northeast elevation rear service area to <br />allow installation of an 8-ft. high chain link fence with slats to <br />provide a visual barrier around the service area of the facility <br />located at 5667 Gibraltar Drive. <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (IR 89:54) regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> No action was required or taken by the Council on this item. <br /> <br />8. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Item 8a <br /> This item was removed from the Agenda. <br /> <br />Item 8b and Item 12c were considered toqether. <br />Post Downtown Redevelopment Committee <br /> <br />Consideration of Deactivatinq the Redevelopment Agency <br /> Mr. Mercer opened the discussion on Item 8b. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver inquired about the status of the Committee on <br />Housing in terms of formation and participant selection. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer responded that the Housing Committee is composed <br />of Mr. Tarver; himself; Sharrell Michelotti with Jack Hovingh as <br />alternate; Christine Steiner from the Human Services Commission; <br />Tom Treto from the Housing Authority; Rick Aguilar and Bob Cordtz <br />from the Citizens Affordable Housing Committee; Tom Cook from the <br />Bay Area Council; Garry Hambley from the Building Industry <br />Association; Peter Ross, financing person for the Senior Housing <br />Project has volunteered to serve on the Committee to answer <br />financing questions; Janet Christiano, President of Southern <br />Alameda County Board of Realtors; and one major developer who has <br />not yet responded. The Committee will be meeting towards the <br />second ~,:eek of August. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer continued with the recommended composition of the <br />Post Downtown Redevelopment Committee as follows: one City <br />Councilmember, two representatives from the Pleasanton Downtown <br /> <br /> -18- <br /> <br /> <br />
