He
mentioned that people drive very fast down Valley Avenue and run
into a dangerous situation when they reach the traffic light on
Quarry Lane, past the Busch Road curve. He requested that a sign
be installed warning people of the oncoming traffic light.

Mr. Mercer asked Mr. Elliott to install a sign advising
people of the traffic light ahead.

Mr. Thurman Caudill, 4715 Augustine St., stated that he
received a letter appointing him to the Downtown Revitalization
Committee, and a Memorandum informing him of its first meeting on
September 18th at 8:00 a.m. He inquired if meetings could be held
at a more convenient day and time and if the members could be
consulted about this matter.

Ms. Birdie Bianchi, 4329 Railroad Avenue, also expressed a
problem with the meeting time.

Ms. Mohr explained that it is difficult to find a time when
all eleven members would be available and that based on a similar
experience the past year, 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. seemed to work well.
She mentioned that some members are downtown merchants who have
businesses to run, and her own job requires her to work evenings

-3-

9-19-89
