REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Item 12a <br /> Review of Proposed Fiscal Years 1990-91 Throuqh 1994-95 Capital <br /> Improvement Proqram <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian presented his report (SR 90:109) regarding the <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer set April 3, 1990, at 6:00 p.m. for Council to <br /> review the proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget, <br /> followed by the regular meeting of the City Council at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Item 12b " <br /> Reuuest from Amador Valley Hiqh School Booster Club for $35,000 - <br /> $40,000 of Citv Funds to be Used Toward the Construction of a <br /> Restroom/Concession/Ticket Booth at Amador Hiqh School by the <br /> Football Field <br /> <br /> Ms. Bengtson presented her report (SR 90:118) regarding the <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bruce Bird, Chairman of the Special Projects Committee <br /> for the Amador Valley High School Booster Club, stated that the <br /> Club's project would benefit the thousands of people who use the <br /> facilities at Amador Valley High School. He pointed out that the <br /> project should be viewed as a City project, with the contribution <br /> coming from the General Fund rather than from the limited scope of <br /> the Parks and Community Services Department. He added that the <br /> Club has done its part in raising funds and soliciting donations <br /> and requested that the City commit to the project as well. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bill Selway, President of the Amador Valley High School <br /> Booster Club, stated that the school is a reflection of the <br /> community and that the attitude that what needs to be done at <br /> Amador Valley High School and Foothill High School is the work <br /> only of the School District is not right. He mentioned that <br /> community programs need everybody's cooperation, including the <br /> City, the School as well as businesses.
