75

Mr. Brandes stated that the existing zoning could do even
more than that now. He asked Mr. Swift if any application for a
split on the corner property would have to come to Council for
approval.

Mr. Swift replied that if the site is rezoned R-1-20,000, it
would be theoretically possible to create a legal lot by parcel
map without coming before the Council. It would have to have 35
feet of frontage on Foothill Road. However, when the property
directly east of it was split, a condition on it was that no
further split would be allowed because of way the lot is
developed.

It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that
Ordinance No. 1450 be introduced, to be read by title only and
waiving further reading thereof, approving RZ-89-18, the
application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately
7.5 acre site located on the southeast corner of Bernal Avenue and
Foothill Road from the R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential)
District to the R-i-20,000 PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Low
Density Residential District, or to any other zoning district
consistent with the General Plan.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Butler
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6d
PUD-89-20, Application of John and Fern Corley for Development
Plan Approval to Create a Plan with a One-Acre Site and a Four-
Acre Site for Future Phase Development for the Property Located at
3744 Trenerv Drive

Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 90:49) regarding the
matter.

Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the
application.

Mr. John P. Corley, 1056 Division Street, stated that the
one acre parcel would maintain the integrity of Trenery Drive, as
required by the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan. There would be an
easement for the four acre lot, which would undergo future
subdivision when rear access becomes available through the
extension of Stoneridge Drive.

There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the
public hearing closed.

-13 -
2-6-90
