13 <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr indicated that in connection with Speedee Oil Change <br />and Tune-up/Hammer/Nelson, she was reluctant to lose the Texaco <br />station on the corner of Mission Drive and Sunol Boulevard, which <br />is the only gas service station at that end of town. She stated <br />that she would like to appeal the decisions of the Design Review <br />Board and the Planning Commission on the zoning, use permit and <br />rezoning applications of Speedee Oil Change and Tune- <br />Up/Hammer/Nelson. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift stated that the zoning application, Z-89-729, <br />Speedee Oil Change and Tune-up/Hammer/Nelson, would come before <br />the Design Review Board at its meeting the coming week. The <br />Planning Commission determined that this was a service station <br />under the definition of the Code and therefore did not need a <br />rezoning. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes inquired whether or not the tanks have been <br />removed from the property and the proper soil testing done as <br />required. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift replied that the tanks have been removed but that <br />he was not sure if the soil testing has been done. <br /> <br />Item 7c <br />Actions of the Housina Authority Board of Commissioners at It~ <br />Meeting of December 21, 1989 <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian presented his report (IR 90:05) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer asked Mr. Bocian to prepare a report on the social <br />and recreational activities the Commission is putting together for <br />the seniors at Ridge View Commons. <br /> <br />Item 7d <br />Minutes from the Staff Traffic Committee Meetinu of <br />December 7, 1989 <br /> <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his report (IR 90:02) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> No action was required or taken by the Council on this item. <br /> <br />Item 7e <br />Report on the Alameda County Open Space Element and <br />Livermore/Amador Valley Planning Unit General Plan <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (IR 90:04) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes pointed out that the Council has already taken a <br />stand on the issue. No opportunity has been provided for the <br />Council to have its input on the matter; nor have public hearings <br />been held.
