441 <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6g <br />PUD-90-9, Application of McDonald,s Corporation to Rezone ~- <br />Approximately 2.5 Acre Site from C-F and PUD-C and for Developmen~ <br />Plan Approval to Construct a New Approximately 5,300 Square Foot, <br />Fast-Food Restaurant with Drive-Throuqh# Located at 6800 Santa Rit- <br />Road in the Area Generally Bounded by Pimlico Drive and the New <br />Eastbound Entrance Ramp from Santa Rita Road to 1-580 <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of a Neqative Declaration <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 90:333) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br /> Ms. Kathleen Gerhardt, representing McDonald's Corporation, <br />stated that the conditions of the Staff Report were acceptable to <br />her. She offered to answer any questions on the application. <br /> <br /> Mr. James Miller, 3633 Camelot Court, inquired how much it <br />would cost the City to move McDonald's Restaurant from its present <br />site to the new location. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer replied that it would cost NPID, not the City, <br />about $1,018,630. <br /> <br /> Mr. Henry Hatton, 3963 Fairlands Drive, stated that his only <br />objection to the project is that the existing McDonald's Restaurant <br />has become a tremendous draw for trucks, which is turning the <br />intersection into a truck stop. He suggested that the prohibition <br />of trucks be a condition to project approval. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver pointed out that Condition No. 18 indicates that if <br />there are complaints from residents regarding issues like parking, <br />littering or noise, the Planning Director can refer the project <br />back to the Planning Commission or City Council for further action. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr inquired if the City can take action on trucks parked <br />on private property if the property owner allows it. <br /> <br /> 8-21-90 <br /> - 17 - <br /> <br /> <br />
