MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Item 8a <br />Appointment of Planning Commissioners <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that <br />Resolution No. 90-118 be adopted, re-appointing Ms. Marcelline <br />Mahern, Ms. Sharrell Michelotti and Mr. Harold McGuirk as Planning <br />Commissioners for a four year term ending May 5, 1994. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 8b <br />Vacancy on the Pleasanton Library Advisory Committee <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated that the terms of four members of the <br />Library Advisory Commission would expire on July 1, 1990. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that the nomination and application period <br />for the vacancies on the Library Advisory Commission would be open <br />until July 19, 1990. <br /> <br />Item 8c <br />Art in Public Places Committee <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council <br />(PCAC) has requested the Council to begin the process of forming <br />the Arts in Public Places Committee. He noted that the Resolution <br />forming the Committee indicates that one of the members would be a <br />City Councilmember, and another would come from the PCAC. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta mentioned that Mr. Butler had called her to <br />indicate that he was interested in being a member of the <br />Committee. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer appointed Mr. Butler to the Committee and stated <br />that the application period would be open until July 19, 1990. <br /> <br />- 29 - <br /> <br />6-19-90 <br /> <br /> <br />
