No action was required or taken by the Council on this item. 8. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS Item 8a Appointment of Planning Commissioners It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that Resolution No. 90-118 be adopted, re-appointing Ms. Marcelline Mahern, Ms. Sharrell Michelotti and Mr. Harold McGuirk as Planning Commissioners for a four year term ending May 5, 1994. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler ABSTAIN: None Item 8b Vacancy on the Pleasanton Library Advisory Committee Ms. Acosta indicated that the terms of four members of the Library Advisory Commission would expire on July 1, 1990. Mr. Mercer stated that the nomination and application period for the vacancies on the Library Advisory Commission would be open until July 19, 1990. Item 8c Art in Public Places Committee Mr. Mercer stated that the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council (PCAC) has requested the Council to begin the process of forming the Arts in Public Places Committee. He noted that the Resolution forming the Committee indicates that one of the members would be a City Councilmember, and another would come from the PCAC. Ms. Acosta mentioned that Mr. Butler had called her to indicate that he was interested in being a member of the Committee. Mr. Mercer appointed Mr. Butler to the Committee and stated that the application period would be open until July 19, 1990. - 29 - 6-19-90
