266

Mr. Tarver stated that it would be difficult to make any
comments on sewer allocations over three to six years because no
one knows how long it will take the Tri-Valley Wastewater
Authority (TWA) to make the final decision to develop the sewer
capacity. In addition, there is the question of school
overcrowding and what the School District's plans are for getting
schools in the short term. Traffic would be another
consideration.

Mr. Mercer indicated that he would like the Committee to
consider affordability as well as phasing the units to have the
smallest number of units reasonably possible per year because of
the uncertainty of TWA's solution.

It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that
the Growth Management Committee bring back a recommendation for
both the total allocation and selected projects for 1991, as set
forth in the Staff Report.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN:

Item 6c
Z-90-178, Application of the City of Pleasanton for Design Review
Approval to Construct an Approximately 1,800 Square Foot First-
Floor and Approximately 6,000 Square Foot Two-StoryAddition to
the Existing Police Facility Located at 4833 Bernal Avenue

Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 90:212) regarding the
matter.

Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the
application.

There being no testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the public
hearing closed.

It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that
Resolution No. 90-100 be adopted, approving Z-90-178, the
application of the City of Pleasanton for design review approval
to construct an approximately 1,800 square foot first-floor and
approximately 6,000 square foot two-story addition to the existing
police facility located at 4833 Bernal Avenue, as set forth in the
Staff Report.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

- 12 -
6-5-90
