265 <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that geotechnical services and consultants <br />were not available when the Bevilacqua Court homes were built in <br />1966 and 1967, but that these new homes will be better engineered <br />and built. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr commented that the new designs are very appealing <br /> and that she would support the project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver stated that the units did not fit into the <br />existing neighborhood because of their size and the way they are <br />positioned and that he would support the Planning Commission's <br />decision and deny the appeal. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that <br />Ordinance No. 1467 be introduced, to be read by title only and <br />waiving further reading thereof, approving AP-90-4, the appeal of <br />a decision of the Planning Commission denying approval of Case <br />PUD-90-2, the application of Michael Gordon for planned <br />development rezoning and development plan approval for a five-lot <br />residential PUD, including the development of four new single- <br />family residences, on a hilly two-acre site containing one single- <br />family residence located at 445 Kottinger Drive, as set forth in <br />the Staff Report, provided that Condition No. 15e [14e, as <br />adopted] include "water based strata" in addition to "ground <br />water" and that the lot lines extend down to the street. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Tarver <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6b <br />Growth Manaqement Report <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 90:217) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the matter. <br /> <br /> There being no testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes informed the Councilmembers that the Growth <br />Management Committee will be holding meetings on the allocations <br />the coming week and that the City Manager will schedule the <br />meetings with the six eligible applicants. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr requested some direction from Councilmembers with <br />respect to the general issues identified in the Staff Report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler indicated that he did not have a problem with <br />having a final recommendation come back from the Committee but <br />that he would support a total number of units that would be <br />smaller than the maximum allocation possible. <br /> <br /> - 11 - <br /> 6-5-90 <br /> <br /> <br />
