479 <br /> <br />(NSSP) to keep the area rural and that future access should be <br />resolved through the property of those who would benefit from it. <br />He added that his property is not within City limits and requested <br />that the City exclude his property from future street connections <br />since he is not interested in becoming part of the City. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that since Mr. Macari's property is not in <br />the City and he has no intention of coming into the City, the <br />Planning Staff would have to come up with another street plan to <br />move traffic in and out of the development. <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler concurred. He added that the problem should be <br />resolved by the NSSP. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush stated that he explained to Mr. Macari that the map <br />was designed solely as a planning tool, for the purpose of showing <br />the number of parcels that might be developed in the area, to <br />determine the amount the Marshalis would have to contribute toward <br />one-half of the east-west road. He added that Mr. Macari was <br />informed that there had been no commitment made by the Council or <br />staff regarding where the road would be. <br /> <br />Dissolution of the Golf Course Committee <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Ebright, Chairman of the Golf Course Committee, read <br />a letter to the Mayor indicating that the Committee had completed <br />its task and requested its dissolution. He expressed his gratitude <br />to the Council and to the 90 Committee members for their <br />enthusiasm, dedication and hard work. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer thanked Mr. Ebright and the Committee on behalf of <br />the Council for providing the framework to start the process of <br />developing a municipal golf course. <br /> <br />Sports Park <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Gorman, 3660 Canelli Court, representing the Little <br />League Board in Pleasanton and the people involved in organized <br />sports, stated that the City has invested a lot of time and money <br />to develop the park system in Pleasanton. He pointed out that <br />budget cuts this year have posed maintenance problem to these parks <br />and recommended that the City look for additional funds and support <br />to maintain the parks. He inquired if the City had any plan for <br />additional large park areas like mini sports parks or multiple use <br />parks areas in the next two to three years. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer inquired if there were vacancies in the Park <br />Maintenance Department. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta replied that the Department is short by two people <br /> <br /> 9-18-90 <br /> - 5 - <br /> <br /> <br />
