21 <br /> <br />Water Conservation <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver requested Staff to look into what policies the City <br />may consider in relation to water conservation. <br /> <br />Day of Patriotism and Recoqnition <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer requested Council to declare Sunday, January 27th, <br />as "Day of Patriotism and Recognition" in honor of the 27 <br />Pleasanton military personnel serving in the Persian Gulf. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Mercer, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 91-11 be adopted, determining that the matter of <br />declaring Sunday, January 27, 1991, as "Day of Patriotism and <br />Recognition" arose after the Agenda was posted and adding it to the <br />Agenda. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was then moved by Mr. Mercer, and seconded by Mr. Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 91-12 be adopted, declaring Sunday, January 27, <br />1991, as "Day of Patriotism and Recognition" in honor of the 27 <br />Pleasanton military personnel serving in the Persian Gulf. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer requested that a copy of the resolution be sent to <br />the 27 service personnel and to their parents. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner stated that the Pleasanton Jaycees will attach a <br />yellow ribbon with the name of a serviceperson at the base of each <br />flag, both of which will be presented to the family upon the return <br />of the serviceperson. <br /> <br />9.
