MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Item 8a <br />1991 Committee Assiqnments <br /> <br /> Mr. 'Mercer indicated that he tried to accommodate every <br />Councilmember's first and second choices in the Committee <br />assignments for 1991. <br /> <br />9. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Item 9a <br />Report from the Fertile CrescA~t Committe~ <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr indicated that the Fertile Crescent Committee <br />reviewed the draft presented at the last Council meeting and that <br />a refined draft would be ready in a week, in time for the next <br />Council meeting. She explained that each City Council would review <br />the revised draft. and give its input to the Board of Supervisors <br />for its adoption. She pointed out that it appears that the County <br />is planning for the gateway area on Pleasanton's boundary. She <br />added that the planning should be done by Pleasanton because. <br />Pleasanton would be impacted by whatever happens in the area and <br />would probably annex and control the area in the future. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Hovingh, 4250 MuirwoodDrive, member of the Fertile <br />Crescent Committee, concurred with Ms. Mohr's statements. He <br />emphasized that Pleasanton should be pro-active and develop a <br />specific plan for that Pleasanton Gateway area and to the Vineyard <br />before another entity does. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that Ms. Mohr will present the revised <br />report at the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />10.MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br /> There were none. <br /> <br />11.
