61 <br /> <br />Valley Performing Arts Center Study Committee <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler relayed to Council the status of the Valley <br />Performing Arts Center Study Committee, consisting of <br />representatives of the Junior College District, Livemore, <br />Pleasanton and Dublin. The representatives met in a marathon <br />session and heard presentations from three potential consultants. <br />A consultant has been selected and negotiations will be going <br />forward with that one consultant. <br /> <br />10. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br /> No action was required or taken by the Council on this item. <br />11. LEGISLATIVE UPDATE REPORTS <br /> <br /> No action was required or taken by the Council on this item. <br />12. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />Council PositiOn on League of California Cities Resolutions ; <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta stated that Staff was able to prepare its <br />recommendations on each of the League's resolutions and wishes for <br />Council to vote tonight in support of those recommendations. If <br />there are serious concerns, a special meeting will have to be <br />called between now and the voting on October 15, 1991. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that <br />the Staff recommendations be supported but in the event that there <br />are serious reservations about any of those recommendations a <br />special meeting will be called. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mohr <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Funding for a Second BART Station in Pleasanton <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver commented that he thought it essential that the <br />City specify its desire for two BART stations in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer approved of the letter; however, he wished to <br />stress the fact that 59.4 million dollars has been appropriated <br />from Measure B funds for the second BART station in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />10-01-91 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
