SPECIAL AND INFORMATION REPORTS
I~em 7a
Actions of the Zoning Administrator and of theDesiqnReview Board
and Planning Commission at Their Meetings of September 24, 1991a]ld
September 25, 1991. (IR 91:64)

Ms. Scribner wanted to know about the satellite dish installed
on the roof at 310 Main Street and what kind of screening is being
considered in order to preserve the downtown appearance.

Mr. Swift replied that the satellite- dish is currently
installed and there is no screening. The approval was to leave it
as it is rather than to try and screen it with something that would
be even more visible. The Planning Commission has appealed this,
however, so it will be reviewed.

Ms. Scribner also wanted to know about the Conditional Use
permit for Pizza Hut that would put one pizza place in front of
another pizza place. Is the City doing anything to regulate the
uses?

Mr. Swift answered that nothing is being done now. The
Downtown Specific Plan includes things that are being encouraged
but there is nothing that restricts one use by numbers.

Mr. Butler recommended that the City not get involved in that
kind of question at all.

10-01-91 13
