122

Rent Stabilization Ordinance

Greg Burton, President Pleasanton Mobile Home Park, requested
that Council reconsider the adoption of a Rent Stabilization
Ordinance. He asked that this matter be placed on the August 4th
City Council agenda in order for him to make a presentation.

Mr. Roush suggested that Council wait until the results from
a rent study were available. He explained the history of this
proposed Ordinance and the different mobile home parks involved.

Council requested to hear this matter on the August 4, 1992
City Council agenda.

Dog Ordinance

Wayne Masten, 4235 Hayford Court, expressed his concern with
dogs in the City parks. He explained that there have been dogs
running loose in the parks. He also was concerned with the owners
not picking up after the dogs. He asked that the City patrol the
parks.

Mayor Mercer explained that the City currently has an
ordinance but that it was not possible to have the police
department patrol daily. He asked that Mr. Masten call the police
if he were to see the type of behavior mentioned.

Ms. Acosta indicated that staff could refer Animal Control out
to Orloff Park and take a special look at the situation.

A M Homes Lot Line Adjustment

Lynanne Sorenson, 4432 Foothill Road, explained that when
Council considered the lot line adjustment for A M Homes she was
not notified. She asked that Council reconsider this matter and to
"stay" the lot line adjustment until the public hearings were
completed.

Ms. Acosta indicated that the water diversion for the Joel
property was going to be heard by the Planning Commission the
following evening.

Mr. Roush stated that Council could not take any action on Ms.
Sorenson's specific request because this matter was not listed on
the agenda and because the time for reconsideration had expired.

Mayor Mercer informed Ms. Sorenson that she could attend the
Planning Commission the following evening and explain her concerns.
If she did not agree with the decision made that evening she could
appeal it and then the matter would be referred to the City
Council.

7/7/92 4
