7

It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that
Resolution No. 92-87 be adopted, approving the application for a
Planned Unit Development construction of a two-story, 141,000
square foot office building on a 7.9 acre parcel (Site llD) in
Hacienda Business Park.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

PUD-eg-14-1D. Hestatedthat he was in mutual agreement
with staff recommendations and felt that this building would be an
asset to the City of Pleasanton.

There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the
public hearing closed.

Mr. Butler commented that perhaps Dr. Sjoberg was describing
a trend in medical offices regarding the requirements that medical
uses need more space to see the same number of patients. He asked
-if this was something that staff needed to look at in the zoning
code.

Mr. Swift stated that staff would do that if it relied on the
standard zoning ordinance but because this was a PUD; there was
some flexibility.. Staff believes that with the project as
conditioned shouldn't have a problem. This has occurred elsewhere
in the City and it has worked (i.e. Hacienda Business Park).

Ms. Mohr asked if this building changed uses, would the
limitation on parking limit potential tenants for the property and
if so, would this be a problem.

Mr. Swift stated that it would not if it were for general
office type tenants. Also, there is a limit on the medical office
square footage.

5/5/92 7
