207

k. Approve the permit for the Outdoor Rollerskating
Association of America race on December 12, 1992.
(SR92:491)

1. This item was moved to item 12g.

m. Adopt Ordinance No. 1584, amending the Pleasanton
Municipal Code Chapter 6.40 (Taxicabs).

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: Councilmember Pico, Item 4a

5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Mobile Home Rent Control Ordinance

Greg Burton, representing the tenants of Pleasanton Mobilehome
Park, explained that the results from the rent survey of the
Pleasanton Mobilehome Park indicated that the rent survey indicated
that the rents should be from $325 to $335/per month. This was an
increase of $100/month for a few of the occupants. He requested
that there be a rent control ordinance.

Mr. Roush explained that the rent survey was completed and
there has been one meeting with the Mobile Home Committee. He
believed that the Committee would be able to formulate a
recommendation to Council. Mr. Roush will be meeting with Mr.
Wagner and his representatives regarding a proposal. This matter
will then come back to Council on December 15, 1992.

Meetinqs of the San Francisco Property Committee

Paul Ebright, 5416 Blackbird Drive, requested that the San
Francisco Property Steering Committee meetings be changed to a
later time rather than at 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Ebright believed that the majority of the general public
was not able to attend the meetings because of the time they are
currently set at. He added that these meetings needed to be
advertised better.

Mayor Tarver suggested that the Committee meet at its regular
time for its next meeting. He explained that at the City Council
meeting on December 15, Council will be discussing all of the
Committees, Boards, Commissions and Task Forces. At that time,
Council could address Mr. Ebright's concern.

12/1/92 5
