68

Ms. Clark answered that 10:00 p.m. on the week nights was
fine. She preferred to have Saturday nights time to be 11:00 p.m.
She indicated that she would agree to have Friday evenings stop at
10:00 p.m.

Mr. Tarver asked if Ms. Clark would object to a condition that
directs the applicant to educate the participants of the conditions
that exist around the facility.

Ms. Clark said that she definitely would.

Sheila Larson, 744 St. Michael Circle, Vice-President of the
Vintage Terrace Homeowners Association, spoke in favor of this
item. She explained that the proposed facility is located directly
behind her home. She was not representing the Homeowners
Association as a whole but did speak with each board member. She
is unanimously in favor of a non-alcoholic dance facility. They
did to believe that the traffic or noise level would be of
significant effect. She was concerned with the petition that was
circulated through her complex. She explained that the petition
misinterpreted the type of facility and the neighbors were relieved
once she explained that it was a non-alcoholic facility.

Leroy Thomson, 4046 Alvarado Street, explained why they chose
this particular location for their studio.

Mac McCrorey, 36026 Burning Tree Drive, Newark, stated that
this dance class began in Pleasanton, most of the people who
participate are from Pleasanton and they wished to stay in
Pleasanton. He said that he had taught a class tonight at
Lydickson School and there was no problem with noise. He described
the people who participate in the program as average citizens, who
and carry on a clean lifestyle and he was annoyed at the
typcasting.

Dave Trimble, 833 Montevino Drive, stated that he and his wife
began country western dancing three years ago. He explained that
a club was developed called the Country Hustlers which has
approximately 270 participants. He reiterated that this group was
a clean living group of people. Mr. Trimble commented that he was
not aware of any drinking at any of the dances he had attended in
the past.

Bill Olmo, 3635 Portsmouth Court, spoke in favor of this
application. He stated that he learned how to dance in Pleasanton
and would like to continue to do so.

Dick Kesterke, 6625 Amber Lane, believed that there was a
question of credibility and character of the people involved in
this Club. He confirmed that these are some of the finest people
he has ever met. He hoped to continue to dance in Pleasanton.

9/15/92 42
