Jean Cantor, 4089 Stanley Boulevard, agreed with Mr. Shutts' comments and encouraged <br />more street furniture, trees and the bulb-outs. <br /> <br /> Jan Bateheller, 644 St. Mary Street, supported puffing the bulb-outs back in the plan. <br /> <br /> Gary Schwaegerle, 5297 Pleasant Hill Road, described a survey he had taken and <br />indicated most were in favor of the original plan which includes bulb-outs. <br /> <br /> Them was a brief recess from 7:45 p.m. to 7:52 p.m. <br /> <br /> Bill Laube, 5428 Pleasant Hill Road, expressed concern about the historic value of <br />downtown, but indicated the health of downtown business must be considered. He pointed out <br />Council had hired a professional consultant and he is the expert. He urged Council to use that <br />expertise. <br /> <br /> Joyce Paneel, 4394 Columbine, spoke in favor of the bulb-outs and cited the <br />improvements in the Stanford area. <br /> <br /> Shelby Martin, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, indicated the Board's unanimous <br />support of the bulb-outs and opposition to the tree pop-outs. She also supported the street <br />furniture. <br /> <br /> Herald Corsi, 610 Main Street, indicated he had displayed the renderings in his shop and <br />his customers were in favor of the bulb-outs and street furniture. He expressed concern that the <br />temporary parking situation was not yet solved. <br /> <br /> Ruby Greet, 444 Main Street, urged support of the bulb-outs and fie artwork. She <br />believed it could be a major marketing tool for downtown. She expressed agreement with the <br />comments of Mr. Shutts. <br /> <br /> Dagmar Fulton, Historical Society, expressed her belief that the business problems of <br />downtown have nothing to do with the street configuration. She was opposed to any changes <br />on Main Street because it would change the historical value. <br /> <br /> Sharrell Michelotti, 7873 Olive Court, indicated her support of the original plan. She <br />did not believe the bulb-outs will change the historic character or affect traffic. She believed <br />the purpose of the change is to ereate an atmosphere to draw people downtown. <br /> <br /> Gary Dove, 5267 Meadowood Court, expressed his support of the original plan and the <br />artwork downtown.
