80

June -
July -
August -

September - Town Hall Meeting

October -

November - Chamber of Commerce

December - Elected Federal, State and County
Representatives with Districts in Pleasanton

There was a five minute break of the workshop meeting at 9:00
p.m.

Council discussed various times to start the Council meetings.
It was agreed that Closed Sessions could be held before the
meetings, starting at no earlier than 6:30 or 6:45 p.m. and the
regular meeting could begin at 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Pico suggested that the agenda be split and items
involving public comment be heard sooner; i.e., Consent, Matters
Continued, Public Hearings, Meeting Open to the Public. The second
part of the meeting would then contain Committee Reports,
Legislative Reports, Special and Information Reports, and Matters
Initiated by Council.

It was suggested that some method be devised to post changes
to the agenda; perhaps an easel near the door to the Chambers.

2c. Memo from Dorothy Scribner

Council discussed the City travel policy and how it applies to
Councilmembers, especially with regard to overnight stays at
conferences in San Francisco.

It was agreed that an overnight stay was justified for annual
conferences being held in San Francisco. Requests should be
submitted for others.

Discussion then ensued regarding interpretation of justified
expenses for Councilmembers. Should there be a memo of intent
before any money is spent and should there be a report to other
Councilmembers on what is spent. Ms. Acosta pointed out that there
is a budget report that sets forth expenditures.

01/26/93 4
