She believed that Council was representing the citizens of -_ <br /> Pleasanton who voted down Measure K and want to protect the ridgelands. <br /> <br /> Margaret Tracy, Preserve Area Ridgelands Committee, 1262 Madison Avenue, <br /> Livemore, spoke in support of this proposed agreement. <br /> <br /> Robert Cordtz, 262 W. Angela, spoke in opposition to the Agreement. He believed that <br /> Measure M should be applied to this issue. <br /> <br /> Gene Finch, 8019 Jorgensen Lane, was very concerned with making the City vulnerable <br /> to lawsuits. He felt that Council needed to really listen to what the residents were saying. <br /> <br /> Council took a break at 9:25 p.m. <br /> <br /> Council reconvened at 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> George Gunter, 1805 Greenwood Road, Chairman of the General Plan Steering <br /> Committee, stated his understanding of what the Committee's responsibilities were to be <br /> regarding the Committee acting as the Ridgelands Review Committee. He supported the <br /> Agreement. <br /> <br /> Rick Ben~ey, 23 Grey Eagle Court, General Plan Steering Committee member, stated <br /> that the Committee was not given enough time to thoroughly review this matter. <br /> <br /> Geoff Cooper, 7534 Flagstone Drive, supported the agreement and believed that this <br /> should be placed on the ballot. This would allow the citizens to have input. <br /> <br /> Mannie Joel, 5470 Foothill Road, objected to this planning process. He felt that this plan <br /> was going to stop all uses of the land other than how it is today. He was concerned with the <br /> potential law suits and money spent on this issue. <br /> <br /> Dan ,2441 Kilkare Road, spoke in support of the Agreement. He believed that <br /> it does not deny property rights of any landowner. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mr. Tarver declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner felt that the property owners have not been considered and their comments <br /> should be included in the process. She believed that the ballot measure should be simple or <br /> separate it into several measures for a better understanding, unlike Measures K, M and N were. <br /> She was not in favor of puffing the Agreement to the ballot.
