27 <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner made a substitute motion, and Ms. Mohr seconded, to allow the draft <br /> Specific Plan to move forward based on the Preferred Plan; having workshops between the San <br /> Francisco Committee and the General Plan Steering Committee to communicate what the <br /> Specific Plan contains; and a process be made to resolve the differences. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr and Scribnex <br />NOES: Mayor Tanre. z, Councilmembers Dennis and Pico <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarvex, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, to refer the San Francisco <br />Pmfem~ Plan to the General Plan Review Committee, that a subcommittee of the General Plan <br />Review Committee be established to which the Specific Plan Steering Committee Would present <br />its Pr~f~ Plan and that the subcommittee and the Steeaing Committee attempt to work out <br />~ees, if any, between the Preferred Plan and the plan for the property as recommended <br />by the General plan Review Committee, with the process to be as expeditious as possible. <br /> <br />The roll call vot~ was as folloW~: <br />AYF.8: Councilmembez~ Dennis, Pico and Mayor Tarvet <br />NOES: Councilmembers Mohr and Scribnex <br />~: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6b <br />Status Renort Re2ardinp the Vineyard P, vemle Corridor Sueeific Plnn (1193:43) <br /> <br /> Wayne Rasmussen presen~ the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvex and Mr. Pico believed that this item should bc referred to the General Plan <br />Review Committee for further review and citizen input. <br /> <br /> Sharon Heinz, 761 Wall Street, Livermore, and Frank Bexlogex, 2200 Vineyard Avenue, <br />spoke in support of the Specific Plan. <br /> <br /> Robert Graham, 2503 Vineyard Avenue, pointed out that grape vineyards should not be <br />considered a priority in this plan over usable open space because they are not profitable and <br />could cause a health hazard. He supported straightening Vineyard Avenue. <br /> <br /> Inneli Vatanen, 1504 Redwood Drive, Los Altos, Ca, r~resented the Lin family, spola~ <br />in opposition to this Plan. She was concerned with any agricultural operations in this area and " <br />believed that the total acreage was too small for profitable agricultural use.
