8:10 p.m. <br /> <br />12, MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Deborah Kleffman, Ponderosa Country Fair II Development, requested that a targeted <br />picketing ordinance be placed on a January 1994 agenda for discussion. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mob_r, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, that a targeted picketing <br />ordinance be placed on the January 18, 1994 City Council agenda; this item is not to be <br />continued from that agenda. <br /> <br />The roll C, all vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet announced that targeted picketing in neighborhoods is the only issue that <br />will be discussed and issues regarding why the residence is picketed will not be debated. <br /> <br />Item 6e <br />Rea_uest from Children's Theatre Workshort for Financial Assistance (SR93:464) - <br /> <br /> Dolores Bengtson, Director Parks and Community Services, presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Brenda Weak, 5995 Corte Venada, Secretary of Board of Directors for Children's <br />Theatre Workshop (CTW), asked that the City eliminate CTW's debt for its use of the Amador <br />Theater and Veteran's Building in the last few months or allow CTW to set up a payment <br />schedule. <br /> <br /> Jack Kaplan, 6720 Paseo Catalina; Jim, Kathryn and Molly O'Gara, 82 Oaks Drive; Kim <br />and Keller Hawthorne, 5469 Delia Way, Livermore; and Kara Garrity, 1870 Tanglewood Way, <br />spoke in support of CTW and asked that Council provide financial assistance to CTW. The <br />speakers described the performances, programs and the personal impact CTW has had on each <br />of them. <br /> <br /> Robert Duval, artist with CTW, explained how it touches the hearts of thousands of <br />children and related experiences of students and participants. <br /> <br />12/14/93 - 6 - <br /> <br /> <br />
