Mayor Tarver explained that this subject will be discussed at the October 19, 1993 <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Dean Schenone, 5682 San Luis Court, was offended by the recent newspaper article and <br />felt that the statements made were an insult to the voters' intellect. <br /> <br /> Martin Inderbitzen, 5000 Hopyard Road, was concerned about having discussions <br />regarding Kottinger Hills prior to the election because it could influence the results of the <br />election. He requested that all discussions regarding this matter be held after the November 2, <br />1993 Election. <br /> <br /> It was decided by Council to move the discussions regarding the effect of the Kottinger <br />Hills referendum on future actions of the Council until November 2nd. <br /> <br />Main Street Sidewalk Dinin_~ <br /> <br /> Wilson Powell, 678 Everett Drive, Danville, spoke in opposition to allowing sidewalk <br />dining and the serving of alcohol beverages. He was concerned that there would more arrests <br />made by Pleasanton Police because of this ordinance. He spoke concerning his recent litigation <br />against the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico suggested establishing a Police Commission for reviewing issues such as Mr. <br />Powell's. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta explained that Mr. Powell's ease has been to court, a verdict was rendered <br />that the officers were clearly upheld in their actions. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver was willing to meet with Mr. Wilson to discuss this matter now that the <br />trial is over. <br /> <br /> Chief Eastman pointed out that there was never a eitizen's complaint made by Mr. <br />Powell. He has also advised his officers to seek their own legal counsel should Mr. Powell <br />continue untrue statements about the case. <br /> <br />13.
