Mr. Roush explained that the fee was set forth in a resolution so that the Municipal Code would not have to be changed each time the Council wanted to change the fee. It was moved by Ms. Scribner, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to re-introduce Ordinance No. 1605, mending the Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding in-lieu park dedication fees. The vote was as followS: AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner, and Mayor Tarver NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None 8. REVIEW OF MAIN STREET UTILITY BOX COVERS (SR 93:361) Ms. Scribner asked about the cost of $15,000. Mr. Higdon explained that this is pan of the budget, not an addition. Mr. Tarver asked about the small cobbles adjacent to the utility box cover and how they can be secured. Mr. Higdon indicated the will be set in sand next to the utility box. There was discussion regarding the contractor's ability to match the stamped pattern to the hand laid cobblestones. The contractor has indicated the final product will have a more finished look and will match better than the sample, which was done very quickly. Gary Schwaegerly, 189 West Angela, indicated he had conducted an opinion poll and indicated concern about the unlevel lids which could cause puddles and tripping. He also indicated a preference for the street light lanterns to be gold on the green poles. The Councilmembers indicated they had heard comments both for the gold lanterns and for green lanterns. (Since this specific item was not on the agenda, the matter will be discussed at the next meeting. It was moved by Ms. Scribner, seconded by Mayor Tarver, to approve the stamped cobblestone pattern for the utility box covers.
