CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following actions be <br />taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br /> a. Approve City Council Minutes for 2/16/99. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim March 7 through March 13, 1999 as Portuguese Immigrant Week and <br /> recognize the part the early Portuguese immigrants played in the City of Pleasanton <br /> almost a century ago. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico recognized Mr. DeMello, as a fellow Portuguese immigrant and who <br /> recently retired as manager of the downtown branch of Bank of America, for his <br /> outstanding service to the community, including his service on the Economic <br /> Vitality Committee. <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim March 1999 as Hunger Awareness Month and recognize that <br /> approximately 6,300 of Alameda County' s poor live in the Tri-Valley area. <br /> <br /> d. Approve monthly disbursements in the amount of $8,722,479.55 and approve the <br /> investments and COPS AB3229 expenditure report for January 1999. (SR99:51 ) <br /> <br /> e. Adopt Resolution No. 99-015, approving financial report for the 1998-1999 First <br /> Quarter. (SR99:56) <br /> <br /> f. Adopt Resolution No. 99-016, appointing Richard Whitsel to the Alameda County <br /> Mosquito Abatement District Board. <br /> <br /> g. Approve the plans and specifications for the annual sanitary sewer replacements, <br /> Project No. 952002; review bids received and award the construction contract to <br /> TGH Pipelines of Larkspur for a low bid of $82,188; authorize the City Manager to <br /> enter into the contract and authorize the City Engineer to approve and execute <br /> contract change orders for a contingency amount not to exceed $16,500 (20% of <br /> constructionbid) if necessary.
