MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 2, 1999 <br /> <br />6:30 p.m. Closed Session <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Hertel v. Fryer). <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (City of Pleasanton v. County of <br />Alameda.) (Altamont Landfill Expansion). <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding potential litigation concerning protest letters to <br />recently adopted traffic and public facilities fees. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She announced that the Golf <br />Course Committee would like help in naming the proposed golf course in south Pleasanton. <br />Entry forms are located throughout the city or can be obtained by calling the Parks and <br />Community Services Department at (925) 484-8160. All entries must be received by March 26, <br />1999 at 5:00 p.m. She read a letter that had appeared in a local newspaper from Becky Marshall <br />mentioning the amenities her family experienced while living in the City of Pleasanton. Ms. <br />Michelotti thanked Ms. Marshall for her wonderful insight regarding the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben <br />Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael Roush, City <br />Attorney; Brian W.
