(IR99:11) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked how staff determined the numbers for the commercial component of <br />the committee. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said staff just picked a number. Staff felt anything larger than 15 would be <br />unmanageable and anything smaller would be difficult to split into subgroups. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver asked for public testimony. <br /> <br /> Craig Scharton, Downtown Association, 235 Main Street, said that "Bay Area Back <br />Roads" will be filming in the downtown area this Thursday and next Tuesday and "Sunset <br />Magazine" will be running an article in its May issue about the City of Pleasanton. He also <br />mentioned a week from Friday would be an Art & Wine event. In regards to this item, the <br />Pleasanton Downtown Association Board supports staff's proposal and recommendations. He <br />said the PDA Board was concerned with having two different Boards working on the same <br />issue. He suggested the PDA Board work with the steering committee to ensure the best possible <br />Downtown Specific Plan. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala questioned the 15 member committee for the commercial process.
