Mr. Scharton said 15 members would allow for a significant number to choose from. He <br />felt if it were less it would be difficult to choose members. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti felt the plan was for the members of the residential and commercial <br />components to work together. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver felt the committee would be better served having a 15 member group <br />made up of people with every interest, such as design, architecture, citizens at large, <br />Pleasanton Downtown Association members, etc. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti felt the groups should remain as staff recommends, nine for residential <br />and 15 for commercial but bring the groups together as much as possible to discuss issues. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis was very excited about this Downtown Specific Plan. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to approve the Downtown <br />Specific Plan process; adopt the budget modifications allowing the proposed staffing plan; <br />and to direct staff to advertise for committee members; and to change the name of the <br />committee from Steering to Advisory Committee. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers- Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver suggested holding an orientation for the committee members. <br /> <br />7.
