are member of the Pleasanton Downtown Association. He supported Alternate No. 1 rather than <br />No. 2, because he is an at large member on a Pleasanton Downtown Association committee. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver said he was trying to balance residential property owners and commercial <br />property interests. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico felt the PLA should be represented on the committee. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver said the interviews were held on the applications submitted. Everyone <br />expressed the same interests, the same concerns and values. He said the same thing that he said <br />to everyone. The whole point of the committee is to make it as broad and far reaching and <br />involve as many people as possible. He would like to have the PLA's involvement in the process <br />and it can be involved by attending the meetings. He did not want to go through another process <br />so was going to support Alternative No. 1. He hoped the PLA would participate through the <br />process as stated. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala did not want to readvertise. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. <br />99-059, ratifying the Mayor's recommended, Alternative No. 1 for the Downtown Specific <br />Plan Committee. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if the committee would form a residential group. She encouraged <br />everyone to participate. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver said the committee would decide how it wants the committee to form. <br /> Mr. Pico strongly believed the PLA should be part of the committee. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala said while participating on the Downtown Parks and Trails Committee there was <br />always audience participation.
