Adopt Resolution No. 99-047, approving the investment policies and guidelines for the <br /> City of Pleasanton. (SR99:104) <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers- Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Pico. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: Mayor Tarver <br />ABSTAIN: CouncilmemberMichelotti on Item 4a and CouncilmemberPico on Item 4j. <br /> <br /> Peggy Ezidro, City Clerk, administered the oath of office to the commissioners appointed <br />on April 6, 1999. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Ayala recognized the Amador Valley High School Girls Varsity Basketball <br />team members and coaches for a season record of 30-3 and presented a commendation to each of <br />the members as follows: Alison Biggs, Mia Fisher, Brittany Keman, Vanessa Rogers, Shannon <br />Thomas, Jaysie Chambers, Lauren Gray, Stevie Keman, Tamar Sloustcher, Elizabeth Westlund; <br />Jessica Common, Andrea Hessel, Melinda Pergrossi, Leela Stedt, Tessa Winter, Stephanie Kautz, <br />and Lily Swift. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Ayala recognized each of the outgoing Commissioners for their time and <br />efforts and presented a plaque to the following: Gary Dove and John Vizzolini. (She recognized <br />Dorene Paradiso, John de Melo and Melanie Bentley, who were not able to be present.) <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Ayala congratulated Charlene Villella on her appointment as the first Poet <br />Laureate and Jim Ott on his appointment as the Poet Laureate Elect for the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Charlene Villella thanked the City for the appointment and read her poem The Weaving, a <br />copy of which is attached. <br /> <br /> Jim Wolfe mentioned May 1 is the Youth Master Plan Mapping Day and that the Youth <br />Master Plan Steering Committee is asking for the youth of Pleasanton to volunteer in assisting <br />with the comprehensive one day mapping project in order to provide valuable input to the <br />planning process. Anyone who wishes to be involved can contact Andy Jorgensen of the Parks <br />and Recreation Department at (925) 484-8160. <br /> <br /> Ron Sutton, Chair of the Youth Master Planning Committee, encouraged the youth to get <br />involved.
