He also did not want staff <br />spending a lot of time on this either. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis did not want to abandon the idea altogether. She said if it was possible to <br />work out for this year, then move forward. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said staff would explore what is reasonable for this type of event and will let <br />Council know by way of a memo or, if necessary, by placing it on the agenda. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti said at the Liaison Committee she did not hear from the Fair Board any <br />other outside reasons for not wanting to hold a parade this year. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked when Council would have an oppommity to discuss the results of <br />the LAVWMA meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico said there would be an opportunity for public comment on the addendum to the <br />Environmental Impact Report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti indicated she had received a telephone call complaining about the late <br />night programming on Channel 30 and asked if staff could explore what can be controlled. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said the City has very little flexibility in regards to programming television. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti also requested investigating the possibility of a private company bussing <br />children to school. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said staff is following up on the possibility of an independent contractor <br />bussing children to school. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, requesting <br />reconsideration of the sale of the City's property on the Arroyo del Va!le that was deferred <br />until the completion of the Downtown Specific Plan. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis and Michelotti. <br />NOES: Councilmember Ayala and Pico. <br />ABSENT: Mayor Tarver. <br />AIZISTAIN: None. <br /> <br /> Due to a tie vote, this item was continued to the May 4, 1999, City Council meeting. <br /> Ms. Dennis requested an agenda item regarding the Bernal property. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 18 04/20/99 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
