It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, to approve the placement of <br />a bus stop at the southeast comer of Peters Avenue and St. Mary Street. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Pico <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Request by George Schneider for credit a~,ainst water connection charges~ Water Service <br />ASreement (SR94:229) <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> John Markley, 620 Greystone Terrace, Orinda, representing Mr. Schneider, explained <br />the history of this request for credit. He believed the key issue was Ordinance No. 18 of the <br />Water District. <br /> <br /> In response to Mayor Tarver's questions, Mr. Roush explained how the City of <br />Pleasanton took ownership of the Pleasanton Township Water District. It was his determination <br />from reviewing that documents that there was no contractual obligation between the City and <br />Mr. Schneider. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr asked if there was anything inconsistent or unusual in the City of Pleasanton <br />making changes to ordinances. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush stated there was not and that ordinances do evolve and change over time. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarver, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, upholding the decision <br /> of the Public Works Director that the property owner is not entitled to a credit against water <br /> connection charges. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Pico <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Item 6d <br /> In-Lieu Park Dedication Fees (SR 94:248) <br /> <br /> This item was discussed later in the agenda. <br /> <br /> 07/19/94 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
