Jack Dove explained that the General Plan Circulation sub-committee recommended that
Rose Avenue be extended to Valley Avenue as pan of the General Plan. He brought this to
Council's attention because of Alameda County's purported plans to build a water-type
amusement park at the fairgrounds.

Sean von Senden, President of the Pleasanton Jaycees, asked that the City provide space
to park the Jaycee's fire truck. Ms. Acosta suggested that she and Chief Withers meet with Mr.
von Senden to discuss this matter.

6. MATYERS CONTINUED OF DECISION

Item 6a
Ordinance No. 1629, approval of PUD-91-19-1M, Peter Shutts/Thomas application for a
maior modification

Mr. Swift reviewed the ordinance presented for its second reading.

It was moved by Ms. Dennis, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1629 be
adopted, approving the application of Peter Shutts for a major modification to an approved PUD
Development Plan as filed under Case PUD-91-19-1M.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Scribner and Mayor Tarvet
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Pico
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6b
Bus stop at the southeast comer of Peters Avenue (SR94: 185)

Mr. Lum presented the staff report.

Ms. Dennis suggested placing trash containers at each of the bus stops in Pleasanton and
inquired what the ridership was on this particular route.

Mr. Lum indicated he had spoken to Wheels about the trash containers and Wheels was
reluctant to do that because of the additional personnel costs for regular collection of trash.

Ms. Mohr, Council' s representative on the Wheels Board, stated that the ridership figures
are available for this route and asked that Mr. Lum provide Council with the numbers from
Wheels at a later time.

07/19/94 3
