Ed Kinney, 5493 Greenfield Way, father of the Good Times Parade, briefly described <br />the activities of the parade and the location in which it will be held. He mentioned a few of the <br />participants (e.g. representatives of the S.F. Giants and San Jose Sharks, the local high school <br />bands, etc.). <br /> <br /> John Innes, 1586 Foothill Road, explained the route that the parade will be following and <br />that emergency services that will be available. <br /> <br /> Joyce Getty, Los Amigos Group, listed a few of the financial contributors and advertisers <br />for the Birthday Party. She believed that the activities will be fun, diverse and enjoyed by all <br />those attending. She was very pleased with working with staff on this project as well as the <br />Downtown Association and the downtown businesses. Ms. Getty also listed the calendar of <br />events to take place that weekend and explained the safety, garbage, restroom and parking <br />accommodations. She described the location of where each activity will be held. <br /> <br /> Steve Grimes, R & S Lawn Service, asked that Council reconsider its decision whether <br />his business was an allowable use at 201 Spring Street. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis was willing to reconsider the decision and asked for Council's support for <br />the reconsideration. Council agreed to reconsider the decision at a later date. <br /> <br /> Margaret Tracy, 1262 Madison Avenue, Livermore, representing Livermore-Amador <br />Valley League of Women Voters, gave a groundwater status report relating to the Pleasanton <br />Ridge. (A copy of a study was given to Council). She believed that an environmental impact <br />study should be conducted to review possible subsidence of the ground and possible long-term <br />degradation of water quality. <br /> <br /> Sharrell Michelotti, 7873 Olive Court, thanked Joyce Getty for her dedication to the <br />community of Pleasanton. Ms. Michelotti also thanked Mary Lu Campbell for her work with <br />the Centennial Committee. <br /> <br />Item 7b <br />RZ-94-02, City of Pleasanton <br />Application to amend Chapter 18.120 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code (Nonconforming <br />Uses) to create provisions to amortize existing nonconforming uses (SR94: 170) <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> A letter had bee delivered to Council from an attorney representing Interstate Nuclear <br />Services. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush received a copy of the letter prior to the meeting and briefly received it.
